Last night my husband gave me a launch present. Something he said no self-respecting founder, media mogul or old school reporter would start a company without: A bottle of scotch for the desk drawer. Not even 24 hours later and that little gift is starting to look pretty good…
Just kidding. (Sort of.) It’s been a wonderful — if intense– first day so far. We’re blown away by all the kind words from the blogosphere and our new Twitter followers. Thanks to everyone willing to wedge us into your already crowded daily reading list.
Today is just the first step for us, we’ll have more content and news the more our staff grows. So please do follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook and all that. And remember- we’re hiring! Email jobs@pandodaily.com if you are interested.
In addition to @PandoDaily, you can also follow @PandoTicker to stay up-to-date on fast-breaking startup and tech news. If you are a blogger who’s just published a killer story or a PR person with a release, the editor of the PandoTicker is Trevor Gilbert. You can tip him via Twitter (@trevoragilbert) or email tips@pandodaily.com and put “PandoTicker” somewhere in the subject line.
(The image on this post is my visualization of what I just did to his inbox.)

What I want to know is what kind of scotch you have on your desk. If it isn't a single malt, you might as well pour it down the drain :-) Great site. It's nice that it evokes the feeling there are humans behind it all... Cheers.

LikePando Ticker is a great idea, atleast it will help in cutting down my daily reading from other sites. Just to think of it, PandoDaily is Techmeme meets Techcrunch. Good luck Sarah & Team

LikeThe editor-in-chief is Sarah. She appreciates phone calls, and in an effort to keep up with everyone interested in technology would appreciate a daily update on each of your lives.

LikeSo let me get this straight. Trevor gets the e-mails. Sarah gets the phone calls. Who gets the 1,000-page typed dissertations via snail mail? Seriously, good luck with the new venture. I like it so far. I look forward to seeing the voice that will emerge from PandoDaily as it comments on startups. P.S. I had a ham sandwich for lunch today. (Or was I supposed to tweet that?)
