Ok, this is partially self-promotional, but also just really cool. Wavii just put up a post with a really cool visualization of how their beta traffic developed at their launch last week. It’s like startup data porn on steroids.
The green dots on the left are referrals from TechCrunch, the right are from PandoDaily and the bottom are from other sources. Watch below:
We were pretty proud (and frankly amazed!) that PandoDaily did so well: Sending Wavii 813 users with 100 in the first 39 minutes, versus 731 from TechCrunch with 100 in the first 44 minutes. It was particularly surprising, since we only wrote about the company in the PandoTicker.
I always wonder about the impact of our articles on startups, so huge thanks to Wavii for sharing. And, of course, huge thanks to our readers for reading and being so excited about new companies like Wavii. We’ll try to offer more and more beta invites for cool companies whenever we find them.

LikeMaybe Wavii should get into the data visualization service... because so far I haven't been real impressed by their news aggregation skills. I will say though that they have replied to some of my feedback, so hopefully some big improvements will be heading our way soon. Congrats to the Pando team for becoming a major influencer so quickly. - A happy little yellow dot from the right side of the screen
