Superstar DJ Kaskade Partners with Dreamworks’ Ptch App to Share Behind-the-Scenes Content with Fans
Three weeks after launching out of incubation within Dreamworks Annimation, multimedia publishing platform Ptch is announcing the first dividends of its Hollywood heritage. The startup has inked a partnership with world-renowned DJ Kaskade for the star to use its storytelling app to share highlights from his recently launched “Freaks of Nature” tour.
The musical mashup and remix master will use iOS-based Ptch to compose multimedia vignettes of up to 60 seconds in length, comprised of photos, video, and music — Ptches. Through these creations, Kaskade will share behind-the-scenes concert and festival footage with fans across all of his social media networks for use in creating their own Ptches.
“When I plan my tour, I want the fans to be as blown away by the visual components as they are with the music, matching the intensity and energy of the songs with light effects and staging to enhance the live experience,” said Kaskade. “With Ptch, I get to do the same thing through social media, getting an easy way to connect with my fans and giving them a special in-the-moment glimpse into the tour.”
The artist released his first Ptch created from content captured during his recent sold out concert at Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center. Fans will be able to create their own Ptches by using the raw elements shared by Kaskade, while having the freedom to rearrange, edit, augment, and stylize this content into their own personalized multimedia expression.
Kaskade is no run of the mill DJ or musical celebrity. Within the realm of electronic dance music, he is a living legend who has headlined upwards of 200 worldwide shows per year for the last decade. Amid his current 40-plus-city North American tour, he will continue to play monthly at Las Vegas Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub.
Through this hectic schedule, millions of fans will be exposed to Ptch’s product and experience the app as a new way to interact with and express themselves through one of their favorite musical artist’s content.
