There’s a lot of chatter this morning about Pandora’s method for storing users’s passwords. Based on Hacker News threads and sparked by a Google+ post from Google engineer Amber Yust, this isn’t a security breach or password leak. It appears it may be easy to steal a Pandora password because the plaintext form is stored on the client-side. This is an even bigger issue on shared computers. Pandora has been responsive, but maybe change your password in the settings page just to be safe. [Source: Hacker News]
