Anil Dash is less than enthused about the exclusive new social media platforms being created for “just us geeks” as he describes them. Pointing to Svbtle and App.net as examples, Dash is worried that ignoring the core value of inclusiveness permanently privileges those first in the door, who typically already have a number of social media advantages to begin with. Being early and loud gives the greatest chance of being heard once any network gets more crowded. As he argues in the title of his blog post, “You can’t start the revolution from the country club.” [Source Dashes]
