Anonymous group claims BofA monitored activists
A group apparently affiliated with the hacker collective Anonymous, called Par:AnoIA (for Anonymous Intelligence Agency), wrote a press release that claims Bank of America hired security firms to monitor activists and hackers. The group derided the gathered information as “poor” and “potentially false.” Par:AnoIA said it didn’t hack its way into obtaining the documents, but simply grabbed them from a “misconfigured server.” [Source: Par:AnoIA via Salon]
