Apple reportedly switching chip production away from Samsung in Q1
Taiwanese newspaper The Commercial Times reports that Apple is looking to shift production of its mobile device internals to the country’s Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company as soon as possible. The company is expected to begin production of the iPad 4 powering A6X chip as early as this quarter. The move would make sense as the chips are currently produced by arch rival Samsung, with whom Apple seems to enter a new legal battle with almost daily. [Source: AppAdvice]
