AT&T has filed paperwork with the FCC to transfer $1 billion worth of spectrum to T-Mobile, as a result of their much-maligned merger fell apart. T-Mobile will be needing this transfer to happen as soon as possible, as they continue to fall behind AT&T and Verizon in both customer base and future plans for LTE.
