Three investment banks have offered to help Sony offload its battery unit, which employs 2,700 people and had over $1 billion in sales last year, Reuters reports. According to Reuters’ sources, the deal will likely be picked up by a foreign entity, breaking from Japan-based tech companies’ drive to “keep it on the island.”
