Best Buy is said to be cutting 2400 jobs, according to a report from NASDAQ. 600 of those positions are in the company’s Geek Squad device repair (and we use that term lightly) team; the remaining 1800 are store workers. The report says that the not-so-Geek Squad workers will receive severance pay, but there is no mention of store workers receiving the same.
