Google’s Nexus Q is a bit of an oddball (forgive the pun). At $299 the company’s not-Google-TV living room solution is on par with game consoles that can not only do the obvious (play games) but also watch Netflix, play DVDs (and, in some cases, Bluray) and launch other “apps.” The Q doesn’t do any of that without an Android phone present, but that hasn’t stopped one intrepid hacker from unlocking the device, playing games, and watching Netflix without any “official” support.
