BuzzMedia to fire 50 people, hire 25 newbies
Following our report that BuzzMedia would be laying off one-fifth of its workforce, AllThingsD corroborates the size of the layoffs and says that the company will then hire some 25 new staffers to replace those it is letting go. CEO Steve Hansen wrote in a letter to employees that this is a “rebalancing of existing skill sets and the addition of new ones … There is a lot that is right at Buzz, but much that still needs to change.”
