The rumored antitrust investigation into Google is a result of the company’s new privacy policies that were forced on users and put all of their data from different Google services into one database. In case Google tries to argue that the data can’t be separated, London lawyer Chris Watson told the Guardian: ”To suggest that they couldn’t would be like Microsoft’s defence when it was accused of using its Windows monopoly for the Internet Explorer browser – that it couldn’t separate them. It could. If Google’s defence is that they can’t, they’re going to have a fight on their hands.”
