Facebook, Publicis Feuding over Google Exclusion
Facebook’s decision not to include Google’s Invite Media (now known as Doubleclick Bid Manager) in its realtime ad exchange did not make any friends at Publicis, the agency holding company that does most of its ad buying through Google’s products. Public CEO Martin Levy brought the issue up directly with Sheryl Sandberg, as Publicis divisions, particularly Viviki, do not like Facebook forcing them to choose which technology they will use to buy ads on Facebook’s platform.
