FCC Looking to Revise 16-Year-Old Cellphone Safety Standards
The Federal Communications Commission is planning to re-examine their safety standards on cellphones to see if they need to revise their 16 year old guidelines. The agency will be looking to see if methods of testing should be altered, and how to make improvements to providing consumers with safety information. The current standards for the FCC limits cellphones to a specific absorption rate (SAR), and has set standards by the FDA.
