Feds Seize Domain, Get Confused, Give It Back After One Year
The story begins when the Federal Government seized the domain Rojadirecta last year, and continues to today, when prosecutors dropped the case — after 18 months — when it became clear that there was no basis for the seizure. While there are serious problems with many of the international treaties looking to govern the Internet, at least they could have provided a legal justification for the seizure.
