Fresh out of New York, Uber brings its UberTaxi service to San Francisco
A day after pulling its UberTaxi service from New York – a move that we covered in this post– Uber has announced that the service will start rolling out in San Francisco. From the release: “We think that you should have a choice of transportation options at every price-point. You shouldn’t have to juggle a dozen different apps to figure out the best way to get where you’re going.” (Subtle.) The service will automatically append a 20 percent gratuity and charge $1 per booking, just as it did in New York.
