The Federal Trade Commission has sued Dish Networks for calling millions of US resident who had previously asked the company to be taken off their telemarketing list. According to the FTC, Dish was knowingly breaking the rules, and will now have to face the penalties. According to FTC Chairman Joe Leibowitz, “[Dish] appears to have flagrantly and illegally made millions of invasive calls to Americans.”

Earlier today, Crain’s cited a PrivCo report stating that Union Square Ventures got a 5000% return on its Tumblr investment. It also said that employees #31 through #178 received $371,000 apiece.
