Google Execs: Technology Could Fight Drug Cartels in Mexico
Google’s Eric Schmidt and Jared Cohen, the director of Google Ideas, have written an article for the Washington Post claiming that technology could help fight drug cartels in Mexico. The two say that sources often face retribution when meeting with law enforcement or journalists in person, and propose a system that would allow these sources to anonymously upload data to a central server and have it funneled to the appropriate recipient.
