Hon Hai (Foxconn) and Sharp, a display manufacturer, have reportedly failed to agree on a deal that would give Hon Hai an “at least” 9.9 percent ownership of Sharp. The companies have been working together for some time, and co-own a manufacturing plant – this ownership deal has been orchestrated to give Hon Hai further access to Sharp’s products.
