Huawei’s CFO was on the board of its partner caught selling to Iran
According to reports by Reuters, one executive at Chinese telecom giant Huawei was much closer than previously known to the Hong Kong partner company implicated in illegally selling Hewlett-Packard networking gear to Iran. Cathy Meng, Huawei’s CFO (and the daughter its founder), served on Skycom’s board for fourteen months between 2008-2009. The company’s description of Skycom has since declined from “a major partner” to “a normal partner.” [Source: Reuters]
