IPOs and M&A Deals Dip in Third Quarter
According to a report released by Dow Jones VentureSource, both initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions are down. The report indicates that $807 million was raised by just 10 companies. Even though the actual dollar amount is up, the number of companies raising the funds is down. Merger and acquisition deals soured even more. According to the findings, the number of deals occurring in the third quarter dipped to 99, which is a 32 percent decrease from the same time last year.
