Journalists, activists call for Skype transparency report
Journalists and activists have published an open letter requesting that Skype (owned by Microsoft) issue a transparency report so users are aware of who might have access to their calls. Grégoire Pouget, of Reporters Without Borders, tells The Verge that “many” journalists or activists have reported intercepted Skype calls — an issue for a supposedly “secure” communications tool.
