Former Reddit Programmer Gets Nine New Felony Charges in JSTOR Hack
Aaron Swartz, an early Reddit employee, has been hit with nine new felony charges for his alledged hand in hacking the MIT network and scraping JSTOR, a not-for-profit digital archive of academic journals. Swartz was arrested last year on multiple counts of fraud. Some of the new charges are based on breaching JSTOR’s terms of service. If convicted, Swartz could be sentenced to many years in prison and a $1 million fine. [Source: Daily Dot]
