Microsoft’s research boss Craig Mundie stepping down
Craig Mundie, head of the Microsoft Research department, will be stepping down prior to his retirement to be Steve Ballmer’s senior advisor. Hand picked by Bill Gates, this 20-year veteran of Microsoft updated his biography on the company website, stating how he will be working on “key strategic projects” within Microsoft and establishing working relationships with government and businesses. This change is partly due to Ballmer’s shift towards mobile and web-centered industry. [Source: BBC]
