Nate Silver: Silicon Valley’s politics are hurting the GOP
Nate Silver, that all-powerful wizard of prognostication, has a new post today about how Silicon Valley’s left-leaning tendencies (a whopping 84% of San Franciscans voted to reelect President Obama) is indicative of a larger, troubling trend for Republicans: “If Democrats have the support of 80 percent or 90 percent of the best and brightest minds in the information technology field, then it shouldn’t be surprising that Mr. Obama’s information technology infrastructure was viewed as state-of-the-art exemplary, whereas everyone from Republican volunteers to Silicon Valley journalists have critiqued Mr. Romney’s systems.” [Source: New York Times]
