People are still making NES games
Here’s your morning dose of nostalgia: Wired has covered three homebrew (fan-made) games developed for the Nintendo Entertainment System, that little grey box that brought Nintendo and Mario into the limelight. The games can all be downloaded and played on an emulator or – and this is the cool part – bought as honest-to-goodness cartridges that will (presumably) work when shoved into a NES.
