Raytheon Gets $4.7 Million Gov’t Contract to Develop Wearable Tablet
The US Government has issued a $4.7 million grant to Raytheo to develop a new wrist-mounted touchscreen computer (aka a “tough” tablet with a case). The tablet will be designed to help helicopter pilots maintain “situational awareness” both while inside and outside the cockpit. The goal is that pilots have access to critical information should their helicopter crash or they need to poperate on foot. [Source TheVerge]
