Researchers flag 41 vulnerable Android apps downloaded by 185M users
Upwards of 185 million people have downloaded 41 Android applications flagged as unintentionally malicious in a report by University of Hannover researchers. Specifically, these are apps are one that expose end users’ online banking and social networking credentials, e-mail and instant-messaging contents due to inadequate encryption rather than deliberate malware. Each of the apps are available for download in the Google-sanctioned Google Play marketplace. [Source ArsTechnica]
