RIM has turned to the old “throw money at ‘em” tactic to encourage development for its BlackBerry 10 operating system. Under RIM’s $10K Developer Commitment, any developer that submits an app before BlackBerry 10′s release and makes $1,000 will be paid the difference between the amount they sold and $10,000. So, if we developed an app that sold for $3,000 RIM would pay out $7,000. Not a bad deal.
