Saudi Arabia Objecting to New .Domains
The government of Saudi Arabia is objecting a number of top-level domains that have been proposed. The objections include .bible, .gay, .catholic, .alcohol, and most ridiculously: .baby. Altogether, the objections are understandable from the Saudi government’s strict interpretation of freedom of speech, but that fact that the government thinks it can influence the structure of the Internet to such a broad degree is pretty ridiculous.
