At the Sundance Film Festival, a new company named Slated has launched. The company is founded by Steph Paternot, and has the goal of connecting accredited investors with established independent filmmakers. If this sounds like AngelList, that’s because it is very similar, and could even be likened to AngelList for films. This may end up loosening up the funds in the film industry, where money is much tighter than in the Valley right now.
