Steve Jobs Asked Eric Schmidt To Stop Poaching Employees

In March of 2007, Steve Jobs sent an email to Eric Schmidt asking him to stop Google from poaching an Apple engineer. The email became public this week as part of an ongoing civil antitrust case against Apple, Google, Intuit, Palm, Pixar and others. Schmidt forward this email to others, and the employee was reported to have been fired within an hour. The facts of the case seem to suggest that all of the companies worked together on anti-poaching agreements, but whether or not these will be legally defined as antitrust actions is to be determined.
