Microsoft briefly outed its Surface tablet via its online Microsoft Store, letting the whole world know that the 32 gigabyte Surface will cost $499. Customers can also purchase the same tablet but with the Touch Cover, Microsoft’s cover-slash-keyboard, for $599. The product has since been removed from Microsoft’s site.
