The Copyright Alert System has debuted
After months of delays, the Copyright Alert System is now live and is looking to stop people from downloading copyrighted material. The system is comprised of internet service providers and owners of copyrighted material (i.e. film studios). The plan is based on “six strikes” and it has a number of actions plans from educating users by sending a message telling them they are illegally downloading materials to actually slowing down their service.
