Truphone, a UK startup mobile network, just raised £75m or $118 million in a round led by Russian businessman Roman Abramovich. Truphone basically allows people to make calls anywhere in the world at local rates (as long as Truphone is in the area). Currently, the service is in over 220 countries and in the UK, Australia, and the US Truphone offers free services. The company will use the funds for further global expansion, along with additional hires. [Source: Truphone]
