Upstart Raises $1.75M
Today, a group of ex-Google employee’s are launching Upstart, a new crowd funding platform. The site allows backers to invest not in products, but in people. These Upstarts, or budding entrepreneurs, can use the funding however they wish and then pay their backers on a monthly basis for ten years. The company has received $1.75 million in seed investment from Kleiner Perkins, NEA, and Google Ventures. [Source: VentureBeat]
