Vicarious Raises $15M for Human-like Image Analysis Software
Software maker Vicarious has raised $15 million in Series A financing to continue developing its Recursive Cortical Network which is said to be capable of interpreting photo and video content like a human. The round was led by Dustin Moskovitz’s Good Ventures, with participation frim Founders Fund, Open Field Capital, Steve Brown, and Zarco Investment Group. The company is still in R&D mode, but future uses range from robotics to medicine medical image analysis to Web search. [Source TechCrunch]
