According to boutique Brazilian credit card company founder Eduardo Mauro, Visa is up to some ugly, anti-competitive behavior. Mauro posted a blog detailing the lies and threats used by Visa to force his customers away from using any competing service. Mauro spoke to several of his customers and collected documentation distributed by Visa employees to spread their propaganda. Largely, the credit card giant either told users that Mauro’s company was going out of business or threatened to cut off debit card service if the companies didn’t stop using his service. Brazilian laws leave Mauro very little recourse, so he turned to the Internet for support. [Source Mauro]
