Conway or the highway: SF's super angel gets his way on all-but-one municipal ballot items
You may remember last week, Pando reported that Ron Conway [disclosure: a Pando investor] had sent an email to his hundreds of SF-based portfolio CEOs, strongly “suggesting” how they should vote in the city’s municipal elections.
More than that, he also asked the CEOs to prompt their employees to cast their ballots the same way.
One cause particularly close to Conway’s heart was the defeat of Proposition F, which would increase the restrictions on Aibnb rentals in San Francisco. Of course, Conway himself is an Airbnb investor.
So with the votes mostly in, and mostly tallied, how did Conway’s voting machine of techies and their workers fare? Let's break down the results... (I've helpfully bolded any of Ron's preferred ballot items that weren't succesful.)
