Does it bother you that Google knows pretty much everything about you? Your hopes, your fears, your dreams and, of course, your fetishes?

Then I have some good news. There is a now an absolutely foolproof way to stop Google monitoring you: Become a juror in the upcoming Google and Oracle copyright infringement trial.

According to Ars Technica, the federal judge in Oracle v. Google said he suspected both companies were planning to Google and social media stalk potential jurorsl. The results of those searches would, the judge feared, be compared to the answers given on a weirdly vague juror survey in order to “impeach the verdict by investigating the jury to find some 'lie' or omission during voir dire."

Well, not any more! According to Law 360, both companies have now agreed not to Internet search any potential or actual jurors until the trial is completely concluded.

So there you go: If you want to stop Google spying on you, for at least a few months, all you have to do is get to California and find a way to be selected for a $8.8bn intellectual property trial.

It’d probably be easier if they just added a little checkbox or something.
