Earlier this week we announced our annual giveaway of twenty (previously fifty, but we’re close to sold out) tickets to Pandoland to those who can’t afford the full price.

As promised, those tickets have now all been allocated and the lucky recipients will be hearing the good news later today.

Now. Something else. A lot of the applications came from students, both in and outside of Chicago. A few asked if we offered a discounted student ticket if either individual students or entire classes wanted to attend the event. The answer was no, but now it’s yes.

We only have a very small number of tickets left, but we’d love as many of them as possible to go to students. To encourage that, we’re now offering a student ticket for less than half the normal price: $99 instead of $199.

To be eligible for the discount, the only condition is you have to sign up using the discount code PLST2016 and an email address connected to a school, college or other educational establishment. If you don’t have a suitable email address, contact us via and we’ll manually verify you.

Remember: Tickets are almost sold out, and once they’re gone they’re gone.

If you’re a student, we’d love to see you in Chicago next month. Again, use the discount code PLST2016 when you register your ticket here.

For everyone else, we’d love to see you too. With a line-up including Dick Costolo, Margaret Atwood, Max Levchin, Bill Ready, Nancy Jo Sales, Jason Hirschhorn and many, many more, even the full priced ticket is a steal.
