LEAKED: Donald Trump defends Melania plagiarism claims
Yesterday, July 19th 2016 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United Family Members of Trump were suddenly and deliberately attacked by journalistic and social media forces of the Empire of Hillary Clinton.
My Fellow Americans, I come before you tonight as a candidate for the Presidency and as a man whose wife’s honesty and integrity has been questioned.
I have a theory that the best and only answer to a smear or to an honest misunderstanding of the facts is to tell the truth. And that's why I'm here tonight. I want to tell you my side of the case. I'm sure that you have read the charge, and you've heard it, that my wife, Melania Trump, took 18,000 words from Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic Convention speech.
Now, was that wrong? And let me say that it was wrong. I'm saying, incidentally, that it was wrong, not just illegal, because it isn't a question of whether it was legal or illegal, that isn't enough. The question is, was it morally wrong?
And you may ask yourself
How is Donald Trump going to spin this?
And you may tell yourself
This is not his beautiful wife’s speech.
It’s one small step to say Melania made an honest mistake, but one giant leap to call her a plagiarist. I've looked on a lot of speeches with lust. I've committed plagiarism in my heart many times, but let me be clear: Melania's speech did not show textual relations with that woman's, Mrs Obama's.
Now we are engaged in a great, uncivil war against Crooked Hillary testing whether Trump nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war.
So I say this to Melania’s critics in the media: If you wanna be my press corps, you gotta get with my wife. Make it last forever, friendship never ends. Now don't go wasting my precious time, get your act together we could be just fine.
And to the Clinton campaign, whose surrogates are flooding Facebook with side-by-side comparisons of Melania’s speech and that of Michelle Obama. Mrs Clinton, tear down those wall posts!
What happened in Cleveland is part of a far larger movement which reaches into every section and State of America. It is the effort of Melania Trump to secure for herself the full blessings of American life. Her cause must be our cause too. Because it's not just Melania, but really it's all of us, who must overcome the crippling legacy of bigotry and injustice.
And we shall overcome.
We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender to Crooked Hillary.
Make America Great Again, and zigazig ah.
